Inspiration and Serendipity

In a typical semester, the InSPHIRe Lab recruits around 25 undergraduate research assistants at various levels of training. Some seek out our lab specifically because they are interested in social psychology and health, while others are simply in the right place at the right time–something former lab member Charles Vogel calls “serendipity.” Read his story of how grabbing an opportunity he didn’t know existed led to graduate school to become a school psychologist:
